I’ve interviewed authors on stage, I’ve read my own work aloud, I can write about books – but speaking alone into a camera is an entirely different kettle of fish…

  1. I love this! as someone grappling with my own fledgling vlog career I feel your pain. I wanted to like Cowell’s book too, but couldn’t.
    Supposed to be writing a speech myself, but watching you instead.
    Apparently the aim is to take up 1/3 of teh screen, look directly at camera and establish ” connection” with audience. That’s the advice i was given before being let loose with a macbook/iphone!
    keep trying.
