Reader, writer, editor, Melburnian, whisky-drinker, Bowie nut, movie-lover, vintage fan, absurdist, aesthete.
I’m the author of a book of flash fiction, Captives (Inkerman & Blunt), and the editor of an anthology of spooky Australian stories, The Great Unknown (Spineless Wonders). Find out more on the ‘books’ page.
I’ve reviewed for newspapers like the Australian, the Sydney Morning Herald and The Big Issue, and for journals and websites around the world. I blogged for three years on literature for Crikey. LiteraryMinded has been running since May 2007.
This year I’ll graduate from my Doctor of Creative Arts within the Writing and Society Research Centre at the University of Western Sydney. The novel that I’m writing as part of my thesis was longlisted for the Mslexia Women’s Novel Competition (UK) in late 2011. I was also Highly Commended in the Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards (Written Word category) in both 2012 and 2013.
